.GRANT FOR UNIFORMS
2nd Exminster Scout Group would like to thank Kickstart for a grant they recently gave to us.
Scouting (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) in the UK is going through a growth period at the moment and numbers are up by over 6%. This means that more Leaders are required. One of the barriers for new Leaders is the cost of the Uniform. Here in Exminster, the Kickstart grant has allowed us to subsidise the cost of Leaders' uniforms where they would normally expect to pay for it themselves. Consequently, we have recently had 3 Leaders receive their "Warrant" meaning that they are qualified as Leaders.
We would like to thank Kickstart for this Grant as, without it, we would not be able to do the work we do amongst Exminster's youngsters.
If you have a boy or girl aged 6 to 14 and they would like to join one of the Scout sections, or if you would like information about helping with 2nd Exminster in any way, please contact our Group Scout Leader (Mark Edwards) on 824987.
